external antenna airport extreme

I wanted to know if it was possible and if you had a guide to add an external antenna to my 3rd generation airport extreme?

There appears to be 3 u.fl connector attaching the existing antenna to the unti.

@Mayer- You have to make your own holes for attaching external antenna. It's called "hacking". :)

I am working now to confirm that these three connectors are, indeed, u.fl connectors. If they are, you will just need 3 u.fl to bulkhead pigtail cables, three high gain antenna, and three 1/4" holes in the plastic case to which you can uniformly mount the three external antenna. The hardest part will be finding room to work inside the case.

I've seen it done before, but having trouble finding the page. Check out the teardown on ifiixit.com. You will see the three connector/tions I'm talking about.

The AirPort Extreme has no port for an external antenna. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPort
