After plugging into power, wont turn on

Plugged power cord from a car charger into port and the Deck shutoff. Couldn't power it back on. Looked into other solutions to fix the problem after I got home to a solid power outlet (plugging it in for an hour then hold the power button, holding volume button and power button for X amount of seconds ect). Don't know what I should do as of now its an expensive paperweight.

As in car charger you mean the one inside the car? It may have sent too much energy through or something like that.

Maybe that happened? I don't know the exact wattage what the port had but yes it was a standard car charger you would put into a cigarette lighter port.

After thinking about it, I don’t think the steam deck would have died bcuz the cigarette lighter port has little wattage
