Aluminum LCD frames interchangeable on iBook 12" units?

Can I change my broken cast aluminum frame of the LCD (inside the bezel) of a 500 MHz 12" iBook with one from an iBook G4 800 MHz unit? It's the one to which the clutch hinges attach to. Advance thanks for the help.

I think this is the part you are talking about and, yes, they are interchangeable between the 12" iBook G3 and G4.
