Very sluggish! And trackpad & keyboard stopped working
I have the exact same issue on my MacBook pro 13” early 2015.
I tried the following with no luck
- resetting smc, nvram
- Safe mode
- Fresh install of macos
- Removed the screen and webcam and speakers connectors(ive read somewhere that it might be an issue withe webcam)
- Apple diagnostics shows no issues
- Removing the battery altogether
.
It is worth mentioning that A while ago the battery started misbehaving and i noticed some corrosion on the battery connectors (on the battery small board) so i completely removed the battery.
The trackpad and keyboard stopped working at that time as well, so i replaced the flex cable and it is up and working again.

using TG Pro i can see all sensors showing “normal temperature” around 45 degrees C but the mac is still running really slow. (The a activity monitor shows 75% cpu usage by the system)
Any ideas what could be the issue ? Or what else i can check ?
Thanks
EDIT1: Attaching some pictures of the battery and its status on coconutsbattery

My current after market battery
EDIT2: apple diagnostics report
EDIT3: coconutBattery and TG pro after battery calibration
After totally draining the battery
After fully charging it again
Is this a good question?
First, you can’t run the system without a battery as SMC which needs access to the sensors within the battery are missing so SMC put the system into CPU Safe mode, lowering the clocking and ramping up the fan.
With the battery installed run CoconutBattery so you can check your battery. Post a snapshot of the main window here for us to see.

Thanks, on it now. (I come back with pictures in a bit)
I bought a battery from ninjabattery on amazon because the original one had corrosion and with the battery connected i am still getting the same issue

@Meb - You still have a power problem, TG Pro is showing a the error: Current outside limit, this is starting to look like a deeper issue within the main logic board charging logic.
This will need someone with deeper skills to diagnose and repair.
