Replacing the backlit keyboard for ASUS TUF Gaming A15 Laptop

I have a malfunction on one of my laptop keyboard keys

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 Laptop (FA506QM)

Issue:

I am trying to replace the old backlit keyboard with a new one due to a malfunction of one of the laptop keyboard keys (specifically the [Y] key). These are the few steps I have already tried in order to fix the problem to no avail:

1. Tried turning on and off my laptop
2. Tried performing a diagnostics checkup (it found no problems)
3. Tried manually replacing the entirety of malfunctioning keyboard key with a brand new key, hinges, and rubber cup. But it still doesn't work

So I am at the final idea of just replacing the entirety of backlit keyboard with a new one. But here's a problem; I have recently this backlit keyboard part online without the palm rest cover and I've seen some Youtube disassembly videos for similar TUF laptops saying that you can't replace the backlit keyboard because its built in with the palm rest cover. Is it true? Because there's another disassembly video showing someone able to successfully replace their backlit keyboard on a similar TUF laptop. I want some opinions on whether it is feasible on replacing the backlit keyboard with a new one before I start it.

Important Notes:

It only the [Y] keyboard key that is unresponsive. The rest of keyboard keys are working fine as intended.
