I'm assuming you mean stick drift, where the stick won't center properly. Some guides involve dissassembling the controller to clean the stick potentiometers from the inside, but a simpler solution is to just clean from the outside with 70% isopropyl alcohool. Replace both thumb stick assemblies. Requires soldering but will be a lasting repair if you get decent replacements. Cleaning is a short term fix as the parts are already worn. I've just done two of my ps4 controllers and they are like new.

If you bend that plastic part open from the top, only like to an angle of 20-30 degrees so you could get the small inside part out, clean that with isopropyl alcohol and dry it off later, dont get your fingerprints on it, use tweezers or something. MAKE SURE YOU PUT IT BACK THE SAME LIKE YOU TOOKI IT, do this on both of the plastic sides, there are two on each joystick, do them one at a time so you would know exactly how you took it and need to put it back after cleaning. Friend had a controller that always kept left, was so bad that deadzone increase and nothing else worked, so opened it up,cleaned those parts and it was like good as new.
