Hi @soulship

The hard drive is where all the data is stored i.e. the operating system (Windows) and also all the data and programs that you have entered in the laptop

Are you sure that it has failed and that it isn't a problem with the motherboard in the laptop? Can you hear the hard drive "spin up" when you first turn on the laptop?

If you think that it might be a motherboard problem you could try removing the hard drive from the laptop and inserting it into a caddy (example only) and then connecting it to the USB port in another computer and see if it works and that you can retrieve your data OK.

Here's the maintenance and service guide for the laptop. Go to p.44 to view the procedure to remove the hard drive

There is only one (1) hard disk drive in the laptop, so if this has physically failed, then unless you have made a backup copy of your data to an external hard drive, then you may have to contact a specialist data recovery company to recover the data from the hard drive.
