How can I fix vertical red lines on display?

Hi,

I had my screen replaced and ever since then, there are a couple thin lines that appear on the far left of the display. The lines run the full screen. When I reposition my screen (move it front to back) sometimes they disappear and sometimes change colors.

I was wondering if the display cables are pinching or something because I don't think the problem is a software issue.

What can I do?

First step would be to disconnect the video cable from the logic board then reinsert it in the socket then verify the video onscreen. If you're lucky that could solve your problem otherwise the LCD panel video connection should be inspected. Lines onscreen are often related to bad LCD panel but in your case if they disappears while moving the lid then the video cable might be the culprit.
