Dropped A20 now screen is black

Hi, my Samsung A20 was dropped now the screen is black. I've tried resetting it etc. Doesn't work. I'm happy to repair it, I just want to know what to check first so I can get to work on repairing it. Cheers

Hi @rebeccaperth,

More than likely the screen has been damaged internally and it will need to be replaced.

Here's a video that shows how to replace the screen.

Replacement screens are available online. Just search for Galaxy A20 LCD display to find suppliers that suit you best.

If you want to check if the display is the problem or if there's a problem on the systemboard then here's the no display troubleshooting flowchart from the service manual that may help.

Usually if this happens after a drop, it's either a loose screen connector or broken LCD. Open device and check the cable. If that's good and the connection is solid, then I'd say the display layer of the screen is broken. Therefore even though the device is on, you won't see picture. You'll need a new screen.
