Phone freezes while charging.

My Iphone 3Gs was working fine. I went to work and when i got out it said i needed charging. I get home and plug it in and the apple screen comes on and it freezes like that and wont stop. I tried taking out the sim card and nothing happened. I can't even turn it off. even when I plugged it into my computer it says its charging then turns on, and stays frozen on the Apple screen. What do i do?

Try a reset - hold the power and home buttons for 10 seconds till the phone reboots.

The problem is I can't turn it on or off. It just freezes like that.
