My Magsafe is flashing every time I Shutdown my mac

Hello guys,

I have a problem with my new mac, after I deleted sleepimage file my Macbook did not want to start after I did a shutdown, so I push and hold power button for 10 seconds and it run, BUT after this I have a problem, because it flashes for one time (in fully charged mode its from green to orange and back to green) - I think it shows me that Mac is resetting nvram or smc for every shutdown I do.

Does anyone know what to do? erase and full backup should help? or should I use Apple Configurator to reinstall firmware?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Time to reformat and reinstall the OS on your system. Of course make a backup of anything important first.

Some files need to be present like the sleepimage file, you see the OS has been flagged expecting it to restore your system back to where you left off. So you left the OS in a state it’s stuck looking for it.

Hey Dan, thanks, do you think I should make a full reformat or just reinstall OS without deleting files?

I have noticed also a autoboot option I had, doesnt work any more. When I open my lid - OS starts automatically and off course MagSafe also shows me something by blinking every shutdown and every startup - its a single blink from green to orange and back.

@Tomasz Laskowski - I would do a full reformat of the drive and a full fresh OS install.
