iPod Touch 4th Gen Volume increases and decreases on it's own

I purchased a Volume/Power cable from iFixit and installed it. When I put it back together everything seemed to work, but when I pressed the volume button once the volume continued to increase on it's own. I replaced this cable with another and the same type of problem occured. I am wondering if the 4 soulder connections may be touching or the volume buttons on the cable are faulty and not releasing when press. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

i have had this same thing happen. If I am not mistaken, it is due to too much solder, which is making contact on both volume solder points.
