My charging port isn't working
Ever time I put in the charger in the charging port I do not get a charging signal

Hi,
Have you tried a different known working compatible charger or USB-C cable to prove that the problem is in the charge port, you didn't say?
Visually inspect the charge port using a strong light and a magnifying glass to check that there is no lint etc in the port that may be preventing a good electrical connection. If the port is blocked with lint, debris etc, do not use a pin or probe to get it out as you may damage the pins. Try using either canned air or maybe a vacuum cleaner to see if this removes it.
If it is the charge port then most probably it will have to be replaced. Search on YouTube for how to replace the charge port in your model phone.

OK, that's great. So, where can I buy one that doesn't cost six hundred dollars, LOL. One that isn't a cheap Amazon imitation that will fail to work. I am in Canada and American sellers cost me at least a third more, plus customs, so if you could at least point me to what the real thing is, I can find one from there. Thanks.
SicEric Tech’s YouTube channel has a 2-video walkthrough of how to replace this part. Overall it is good, but I noticed too late that one of the first batch of Phillips screws was brassy and about two hairs shorter than the rest. Wish me luck, because the odds of getting it back into the right hole are now quite slim…

A mí me pasó lo mismo con el puerto de carga de mi LG v60, un año batallando. Lo que hice fue echarle aceite wd-40 y se arreglo, pensé que era coincidencia y lo hice con el celular de mi hijo, (tiene uno igual) y también se arregló el problema. El mío no detectaba el cable y el de mi hijo hacia falso contacto, a pesar de que no se manipulara durante la carga.
Yo lo hice durante un día completo, tratar de mantener el puerto "impregnado" del líquido (wd-40) y sí, hasta ahorita no me a fallado. De hecho lo conecte aún con restos de líquido, ya que no es conductor de electricidad.
San Google dice... "WD-40 no es conductor de electricidad y elimina rápidamente corto circuitos provocados por humedad en equipos eléctricos y electrónicos"
