Tim, they are two ways of going about this. One is to purchase the complete assembly, which will have the locking mechanism etc assembled and that is the way I would go. It will have new keys for your ignition. the other way is to disassemble your current lock and replace the broken contacts within the assembly. Check this great guide on how it is done. Parts are available at places like this. Also, there was a recall on certain Hondas regarding a faulty ignition switch . Check with your local dealer on that recall Hope this helps, good luck.

Each ignition will have a unique key. If you can get a key with the ignition all the better. If you don't have a key for the new ignition, you will have to take it to a lock smith to get a new key made. The lock smith should have a special tool that can identify the proper shape for your ignition. This can be a relatively expensive procedure. Alternatively, if you get a key with the new ignition, all you have to do is take your key to the lock smith (or key maker) and they basically just trace out your key's shape. This procedure is much cheaper.

Hope this helps.
