My Apple watch is not switching on.

Hi,

My Apple Watch is not switching on even after 2 hours of charging. When connected to the charger, it shows a green charging sign but it goes red as soon as it’s off the charger. Any thoughts?

thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Aditya,

I'm going to hitchhike along for your ride here, as I have a 1st gen Apple Watch that's doing the same thing. It sat unused for months and when I tried to charge it and bring it up again, that's all it would do, even after I replaced the battery.

I haven't come close to a solution, so maybe if we put our heads together we can find an answer.

The first thing you should do to try and fix this issue is to press and hold the side button on your watch to see if the Apple Watch turns back on. If it doesn't, you can try a hard restart by pressing both the side button and digital crown for 10 seconds.

Regards,

Will

Thanks Will! Yeah, I tried both the side button and hard restart several times but it didn’t work :(

Does the watch ping when you place it on the charging puck which is powered?

Using a second watch which is working see if the puck and the charger are working. If they are then your battery likely needs replacement. if the display or sensor plate came off you might not have mounted them on fully so water/sweat could have entered damaging things too!
