Internal display not working

My dudes... I have for you the weirdest thing you'll ever see around here I bet. Laptop sitting quietly next to me, turned on. After a while display went off as per usual my power settings. After a while I decide to wake it up to use the laptop. Nothing. I force reboot, still no image, no backlight. And weirdly, no touchbar. I can hear the startup chime, I can hear the charger ding. No image. I plug in hdmi, no image. After numerous attempts (perhaps failed) at resetting PRAM and SMC i end up managing to have HDMI working in the assistant screen thing where it asks if you wanna reset your password. I choose the last option with the keyboard, it asks me if i wanna disable filevault. I choose yes, it reboots, i'm in the OS now, with image on HDMI. if i pull HDMI out, no image on internal display. Touchbar works inside the OS. Also camera works, I tested in facetime.
I am absolutely stumped and I really hope it's not a faulty display... Please help, thanks!

Honestly, this is not as weird as you think and it sounds like a textbook display issue to me.

Touchbar not working after force shutdown and boot up is normal, especially if you had Filevault on. When the disk is locked, the processes for touchbar function are not prioritized, or available. It is also not unusual for this to prevent video output until you can log in (thereby unlocking the disk).

The camera, although part of the display connects with separate lines of communication. If you're positive the issue is not just the back light is out, then this sounds pretty sound like it's a display issue.

If it were me, first thing I would do is open the thing up and just have a look. This could also be something with the board as well. But display would be much more likely, especially in the absence of liquid damage.

Can’t see anything and tried a flashlight behind so i don’t think it’s backlight. Is there any chance this is a software issue?
