What is the name of this part?

Hi all

In need of some help, replacing the back housing on a iphone XR, I broke a part of the camera cover

But have no idea what this part is I have circled in red pen in the picture.

So those are called grounding clips (that's Apple's terminology anyways). You likely didn't even break it off the cowling,

It is not actually physically attached at all. It just slides into place. But they do break VERY easily. Apple actually includes a spare one in the screw kit which comes with a new display for Apple Authorized Service Providers.

I have noticed that removing the smaller screw first avoids this sort of damage. If you look closely at this picture you can see how it is supposed to look. You may be able to get by without it. But it may cause issues for display function since it provides grounding for screen components.

This is a display grounding clip. They commonly break during a screen replacement or anytime that bracket is removed. Nothing to worry about though. There are many of these in the XR, and it will not affect any functionality of the device.
