without 3G or Wifi no carrier

Hello,

Problem with 3G8GB Modell Nr. MB489PL (Poland). Apple say it is unlocked. Modem fw 05.15.04, FW 4.2.1

I can make calls with different Sim cards (D1, D2,..) only when 3G or wifi is activate. Without 3G I get after 10 seconds no carrier.

Ther network operator is "telekom.de 9.0" with the same sim in my working 3GS is the network operator "telekom.de 10.0"! Is it not updating?

On the board I have checked the contact of the antenna with a continuity tester. It's ok.

Yes, with different simcards. Also in dfu Mode.

Are there different antennas for 3G and GSM?

The problem is only the gsm (GPRS/EDGE) - fix.

You could try a new dock connector, is it always the case with gsm? Ie does it work in other areas of town? Have you cleaned sim/sim slot? Same carrier different sim? Maybe it's a card problem..

I think it is the GSM chip or the Chip, that switches between 3g and gsm.
