The iPod doesn’t see the USB cable

Hello

I got an iPod Shuffle 4G and it doesn’t charge/sync with a good, tested cable. It plays music fine if I charge the battery by connecting 3 AA batteries right to the motherboard pins and keep them there for around 5 minutes, the battery gets charged a bit (directly, not via the logic board’s charging circuits). But when I connect the USB cable to it, it still attempts to play music when turned on, and it doesn’t charge, nor iTunes can see it. This can’t be due to the case shorting out the motherboard connections (it doesn’t sync without a case too).

Can I somehow fix that on my own?

Maybe, solder the USB plug wires directly to the motherboard?

Thank you

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Could you possibly show pictures of the internals? Particularly the USB connector area? Can you describe to us any damage around that area or anywhere on the logic board?
