If you have replaced the cable and still have a screen issue, there might be a screen fault. Sometimes the display, as well as RAM, also cause screen display issues.
So, you should check the RAM and display chip too. Have you installed any external software or display driver? These may also cause resolution issues and the screen will start flickering. Change the screen resolution and see the result on your laptop screen.
