touching trackpad screen freezes looks encrypted.

I bought and replaced the keyboard but when I turned it on and it loaded, I touched the trackpad the screen has lines and looks encrypted then freezes.

I have checked all part numbers and all match. Checked and followed advice of others who have given their opinions, such as spills or dropped none of which have happened. Only thing that I noticed was a CD was in the player when opened from sleep and clicking.

Question? Does the trackpad need to be replaced? Or is there another issue. Is it an easy item to replace.??

Touching the track pad

should not cause lines on the screen - only the logic board, GPU, LCD screen and cables can cause that.

You may have moved display data cables (losen or damaged them) and touching the case may be causing shorts. OR you may have more than one part failing.

Open the case and inspect all the data cable connections, and the cables themselves for crimps or cuts.

You should reinstall your old keyboard and check if the problem persists. Also double check if your airport card is fully seated.
