Cable part broke off, how to fix

The part that holds the cable for the index broke, and while it works, it sometimes produces static in the left ear. any ideas for fixing it?

I think they mean the head strap guide which is mounted to the cable, right behind the left speaker

Mine broke off too, but as its just there to prevent tension on the plug, it might be enough to just tape the cable down so it won't move.

This is the incorrect part. The piece that broke off is the cable guide on the left side of the HMD. You can just use tape to fix this, but if you want to fix it, like stock, you have to buy a replacement head strap, as that piece that broke off is a part of the head strap.

The same thing happened to mine almost as soon as I got it, since the clip seems to be molded into the arm, you'd have to replace that to fix it properly, but there are clips online that you can 3D print as an alternative, they just clip around the arm.

If you cant fix it, don't worry, like I said mine broke off really early, and that was in 2019, I just bought my first replacement cable just a few weeks ago, and the damage was past the clip.
