Need help with Nano 4G. USB DFU device after an accident

A few days ago i was going to connect my iPod but then it slipped from my hands and got on to the floor. It doesn't respond the screen is just as it were turned off. I connected it to the computer and windows xp detect it as USB DFU device, I pressed center button and menu and the computer then again detected it as USB DFU :(. What i have to do?

did you try to connect it with itunes?

Yes and prompted (error 2005). on device manager it chaged to apple mobile device instead of USB DFU Device.

omg, the second one helped me a lot, but now itunes detects it and prompt that it most be restored. I tried to restore but when the ipod restarted itunes told me that it must be restored again :S do I am missing something?. Also now i can see iPOD (F:) drive, but it doesn't have any folder on it and i can use it as a 8gb hard drive lol
