It's located right on top of your logic board and you just take the screws out and snap a new on in like RAM. For the correct procedure and part please give us the last three figures of your serial number.

Apple Mac Pro "Eight Core" 2.8 (2008) Specs

Identifiers: Mac Pro Early 2008 - MA970LL/A - MacPro3,1 - A1186 - 2180

Remove the two screws holding it in place. Snap off the antennae connector, pull it straight off the board (it's in a socket connector). Do you need the part number?

No thanks Mayer, I got the part already.

Thanks for your help

This answer was originally to another question.

Also, here are some images that might help you out. The main trick is dealing w/the connectors. I had to hold the card in my right hand at an angle and with thumb above and index finger above the card snap them in place. Also, the card I bought didn't come w/screws (Apple brand) which is weird. Make sure you use cable 1 & 2 and connect them to the 1 & 2 on the card. It is pretty hard to find, but it is there.
