Maximum hard drive Upgrade?

Hi,

I currently have a 30gb Ipod Video that is inside a 60gb case, so I should have room for an upgrade. I am wanting to upgrade the hard drive to 60gb or greater. I plan on getting a battery that will support the newer hard drive.

Are there any restrictions that would keep me from upgrading to a 120gb hard drive, or at this point, should I just be able to plug it in and restore, etc? Does the 30gb logic board have enough RAM to support 60gb and up?

Thanks

Jay, yes you can update your drive without any problems, as long as the physical size and you need a drive with a Zif adapter. is the same. I converted many 30GB to 120GB (my preference is the Toshiba 120GB MK1224GAH) without to much hassle. Just make sure you have the proper HDD cable. The cable has to be for your brand, i.e Toshiba, Hitachi etc. cables are not compatible. So definitely make sure you also get a new cable. It will avoid headaches after...;-) Your 850mAh battery should be okay with the switch as well. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
