just started having problems charging my evo 4g, then when i took a closer look i noticed that one of the terminals in the port had snapped off. My cell will still charge but i have to force the charging cable to face down and have applied waight to the bottom of the port, affriad temporary fix won't last much longer.

rockybrett, here is my answer from another question "I believe that the EVO 4G uses a standard micro USB connector. The pinout is as follows
Pin Name Description
1 VCC +5 VDC
2 D- Data -
3 D+ Data +
x This pin may be connected to GND for cable detection.
4 GND Ground
Pin 1 is the far left when you look straight on. So pin 1 and pin 5 would be my choice to charge. " Use these guides to get to your logic board HTC Evo 4G and the port is available at places like this. There are a couple decent videos on youtube, like this, that may help you to determine if you are up to it. Hope this helps, good luck.
