iPhone 4 sim cardon another phone

Hi I'm about to buy an HTC titan and I have an iPhone 4. I know that id need an adapter...but will it work afterwards I saw on a website that it may not on other phones or something

Before my ipone arrived i had to use the sim that they sent with it in my old nokia and it worked fine. As long as the phone 3g compatible and you use an adapter it will work fine.
