Why does the PC display disk usage of 100% for about 10 minutes?

When I power on the PC it displays 100% disk usage for 10 to 15 minutes. How can I fix this ? And may I install SSD and HDD in the same time?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @gojo_1,

I can't really diagnose the 100% usage problem off hand. Does it say 100% and then go down, or is it 100% all the time? Remember that the more information and detail you provide, the easier and better we can help.

According to Dell, the 3550 supports up to one M.2 2230/2280 SSD and one 2.5" HDD (both <=2TB).

Thanks for your help, but I said that it go down 10 or 15 min after power on .and about the supporting can I install the two in the the same time and I didn't understand "(both <=2GB)"

And thank you so much for your halp

@gojo_1 Yes, but it was a bit hard to tell what you mean. How much "goes down" after 10 to 15 minutes?

According to Dell, you can have both installed.

"both <=2TB" means that both discs (M.2 and HDD) can be Less than or Equal to 2TB in size.

FYI; Mathematical expressions:

<2 Means Less than 2

<=2 Means Less than or equal to 2

>2 Means Greater than 2

>=2 Means Greater than or equal to 2

Do you mean 2TB ,the problem I didn't understand the 2GB

@gojo_1 You are absolutely correct. 2TB not GB! (I have updated the answer and comments)

You shocked me 😂 just for confirming I can install SSD +HDD in the same time

You probably have some process, program or programs running in the background. Perhaps you have too many apps autoloading?

For the general user running a program like "Tweaking.com" is the best start. Follow directions carefully about safe mode, do all the steps and do the full scan. Let us know how it goes.

Hi @gojo_1 Windows Update may help. Try doing that. There were some problems with Windows Explorer that they fixed with a resent update.

I did it and still the same issue
