Screws for my keyboard replacement

are these the right type of screws for the 2015 macbook air 11" keyboard replacement?

Hi

As far as I know you could probably use any small screws

HOWEVER…

I don’t think this gen MacBook airs keyboard can be replaced easily as its riveted in place

This takes a lot of time and patience as it’s quite hard to remove but once you have it out you just put the new screws where the rivets went

So I bought just the keyboard and I don't know how to install it is there any step-by-step videos I tried youtube either the videos are not step by step and just sped up or they did not show what they are doing/what screwdriver they are using or what they are unscrewing/removing if I use the ifixit guide i wont know how to remove the backlight/cables on the backlight

Hi

Here’s a youtube video on doing it

(The keyboard bit starts at 4mins)

This video isn’t for your model but it’s the same across most models

The screwdriver you will need is a Philips 000(ph000)

Just as in the video you need to pull the keyboard out with some force

Make sure you apply tape and wear safety glasses as those rivets will fly everywhere
