How do I replace my 3.5mm headphone jack on my Lenovo T450?

Hi, I can't find any guides on how to fix the headphone jack of my laptop. I thought my headphones were dying and I decided to buy a new pair, only to have the same issue with the brand new pair I bought today. I can only hear audio out of the right side of both pairs of headphones, and I can hear from both sides on both headsets, when I hold the microphone plug into the jack. It stays, but I can then only hear out of the right side unless I move it in a weird position. Any guide/tips to this would help. Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I would try updating drivers, there is a new release for the T450: Lenovo.com/support/T450

It also sounds like a likely broken solder joint, I would inspect the joints as that would explain having to hold it at an angle.

Hope this helps :)
