What is this PCB on the hard drive bracket?

I received a free but dead iMac and was wondering what this 1X1 cm printed circuit board on the hard drive lower mounting bracket is. It has a connector with a few black wires going to the logic board area.

By the way, there are no bulging caps on the logic board. I suspect a bad PSU.

It's the HDD themperature sensor.
