My screen bleeds red on all pages, photos & videos. Fix?

My iPad started bleeding red on every page, photo, etc... Even the black background is now blood red. How can I fix this and will I lose everything saved on my iPad by fixing it?

I've attempted the restore and hard reboot to no avail. I still have a red screen. After doing some research and talking with support, they say it's a faulty backlight. All I need to know now is simply whether that's an LCD screen issue or a logic board issue?

The backlight is part of the LCD assembly. If this was a logic board issue I would imagine that there would be more problems than just runny colors? I still think LCD is your best bet.

This sounds like a damaged display. I would first back up everything to iTunes, then try a restore or maybe even a hard reboot to eliminate software as an issue.

If that doesn't fix it, there's a good chance that the display is worn or damaged and needs to be replaced. You can use our guide to help you remove and replace the display.
