Are all screws needed for the board to work?

i lost some of the screws in the process of opening my phone to attempt repairs (didn't have parts yet) and now the phone won't even turn on. are all the screws needed for the board to function or did i break something else?

side note: the only item in stock in the ifixit store for the 3gs is a battery. are replacement parts still being sold here?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

possibly as some screws are grounding screws but more likely you haven't clipped a connector back in properly, I've done it myself, thinking the battery connector is firmly clipped in but was loose when I re-checked. Truth is who can say unless you provide photos.
