Where to place optical fan sensor on an SSD/Optibay adapter.

My optical fan rpm's are going over 2500 since I installed an SSD in the dvd superdrive slot. I got the adapter from ifixit, but not sure where to put the sensor. Right now, i've got it in roughly the same area it was with the dvd drive, but I think it's running way too hot/fast. Any ideas to get that fan to calm down??

Here's an installation of a SSD in a iMac. Note the placement of the temperature sensors.

If this does not fix the problems then we need to look at fans control resets

An SSD drive should run much cooler than a standard drive as there are no moving parts.

Here's where to download a fan conrtol for the iMac: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/230...

That installation is using an SSD to replace the main HDD. My installation replaces the DVD superdrive. Any knowledge where the coolest place on that side of the iMac is to place the sensor?
