My MacBook Pro has a weird Abstract Shape on the Display

Last night before leaving the office, I sprayed a regular glass cleaner over my MacBook and used it to clean the screen. I dried it off (almost), and left the office with my MacBook. This morning as I take it out of my bag and power it on, I see this weird abstract shape on my display, from the corner looking a bit scratched.

I tried to understand whether it’s over the screen, but no, it definitely is on the inside. Any idea what has happened and how to fix it?

It looks like a little bit of liquid got behind the glass and created this shape. The only thing you could do yourself would be to replace the display assemly($549). If you take it to a repair shop (not Apple authorized), they might be able to give you a better quote.

Yep! Something wet seeped in though the left hinge corner. Here's a good expliation LCD Monitor Teardown The liquid got in between the light diffuser sheets. This series displays are well sealed and not really repairable (at least by a DIY)
