Replace QWERTY with QWERTZ Keyboard on MBP 13 2014

Hey there,

I just got a used MBP 13” (mid 2014) which came along with a QWERTY keyboard layout. Since I need a QWERTZ layout, I just wanted to ask if it is possible to simply replace the existing QWERTY keyboord with a QWERTZ one or if I need to purchase a new top case as well (i am aware that replacing the keyboard is a bit fiddly).

By the way: New keycaps are not available in Germany and stickers/mats are not an option for me.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Here’s what you need: 13” MacBook Pro Top case & Keyboard German (L13/14), Apple P/N F661-8154. You’ll also need a fresh battery (don’t try reusing) NewerTech 72W NuPower and transfer your trackpad over.
