Probleme with 2 keys after replacing the keyboard

Hello, I’ve replaced the keyboard on my M1 MacBook Air, but after the replacement everything is working fine, every keys on the new keyboard is working fine except 2. After the replacement the A and D keys stoped working (it’s an AZERTY keyboard so technically it’s the Q and D). The keyboard that i have installed is working attend 100 % because i’ve tested it and every keys were working so it’s not the keyboard that pose a problem. I’ve tested a second brand new keyboard and the A and D weren’t working too. So yeah i’m guessing it’s a software problem, but i don’t know how to fix it. So i would know if someone know why it’s doing that, thanks in advance.

Lets backup here… Are you French? And prefer the French layout

And as the supply of new M systems which offer the French keyboard are in short supply and might be more costly, so you bought a British system to then convert

If that is the case you forgot to alter the Keyboard mapping. Open your Preferences > Keyboard

Click on the Plus symbol to open the picker, slide down to French and then click on the top AZERTY choice. Reboot your system that should fix things.

Not good ;-{

Apple altered things still again with the circuit layout on the 2020 models. In the older Intel models the decoder logic for the keyboard was part of the main logic board. Here we have an interposer board!

I haven’t messed with either the Intel or M series version of this system yet so I can’t say for sure but my gut is telling me this is where your issue is. Either within the keyboard connector interface (connector) or the logic within it is damaged.

That didn't work... Those 2 keys still don't work after your tutorial... The keyboard is in a AZERTY layout and the keys Q and D aren't working i've tried everything.

@ian_8387503 - Did you change out like for like or did you alter the keyboards around?
