Getting my phone to charge requires very specific charger placement. I can’t reliably reproduce the exact placement, and I’m not sure how much longer it’s going to charge at all. I know it’s not the cable because it’ll charge other things just fine. Please let me know of possible solutions to this problem.

When it come to charging issues its usually two things. First, make sure your charging port is clean and nothing is obstructing the charger from going all the way in. If that doesn’t work the charging port might be damaged and might need replacement.

If your confidant in repairs here's the part Samsung a series phone are fairly easy to fix. There is guide on ifixit which is fine to use to repair.
Thanks Daniel! I'm pretty sure the port is clean, so it's gonna need to be replaced. That being said, if that's an "easy" repair, DIY phone repair might just not be for me lol. Do you have any idea how much getting it replaced should run me/how to tell if a repair shop is trustworthy?
I might be biased since i work on phones for a living. But I would say a fair price is around 40-60. When it come's to trusting a shop best thing to do is check reviews and ask about warranty if they don't warranty their work I would stay away.
