Worth trying to repair after water (coffee) damage?

So the laptop in question got coffee spilled all over it. It was immediately put into tent position after drying the excess coffee. After 48 hours the laptop booted but would not load. Now it doesn’t bootup at all. The laptop doesn’t show any form of life and it’s been more than 1 week since the incident. Is it worth buying the proper tools and trying to repair it, or is is doomed?

No way to know in advance, but I just fixed one like this yesterday. Toddler spilled coffee down it. After cleaning the motherboard and replacing the top case it works great. Investing in the drivers to open macbooks is a good general household expense, then you’ll have them on hand for next time.
