I changed my battery but it still isn't charging

Changing my battery didn't solve my problem. I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017.  I installed the new battery but I still get the warning that the battery is not charging.  This is the same problem I had before installing the new battery.  Any ideas what my next step should be? This entire problem started with tea spilling on my keyboard. Thanks for any tips on what I can do/order next.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Brian Deutsch just to follow up in case you have not yet fixed this. What have you checked? What have you done about the Tea issue? I would suggest installing this https://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutb... to check the battery and what is going on with it. Post some images of the results with your QUESTION. If you can you also want to post images of your logic board so we can try to determine if there is any liquid damage. Adding images to an existing question

I think the motherboard might be damaged. Best case, a connection is shorted out which cause the battery charging circuit to not work. You will need to replace motherboard and/or clean the board of water damage. The first option is very expensive and the second option is extremely difficult.

You can start by rubbing alcohol swabs on areas that might have came in contact with the tea.
