Why is my TV screen dark upon startup, fine after warm up/resetting?

The TV in question is a sony xbr-65x850e.

About a year ago I noticed the screen is dim/dark, not black upon starting up. After I leave the TV on for 10 minutes and restarting the TV, it will appear normal.

The warm-up period has progressively taken longer over time. Early on, I did not have to leave the TV on for very long but now I have to leave it on for 40+ minutes before it restarts to normal, bright picture?

Thank you

TWP could be a cold solder joint or a failing component. Remove the back cover (unplug your TV of course) and check the boards for any obvious damage (don’t touch anything just yet. Capacitors may still be charged and could zap you). Check for anything that might look “odd”. You can always post images with your QUESTION for clarification. Measure the output voltage from the power board to the backlight LED’s when you just start up your TV and then measure it again when it is warmed up and the picture is showing. See if there is a variance. The other issue could be that backlight itself but check the voltages first.
