Can I upgrade the storage from 512Gb to 1 or 2Tb or is this also soldered like the RAM

Sorry All of the TouchBar based systems have soldered RAM and Flash Storage. No options here to expand after buying the system internally.

But you have lots of external options! Using USB-C drives or for the max performance ThunderBolt-3 drives (which use the same USB-C connector but use more of the connectors lines.

Thank you. I shall still keep my old MacBook, even though it’s reached it’s limit with my upgrades, but has so many good features. Looks like I’ll have to return the new MacBook and get one with more storage. What a pain no upgrades
