Can I swap the SIM between an iPhone and an iPad?

I have an ipad 9 with a data only sim from Telstra Australia. Can i put it into an iPhone 6S and then put it back in the iPad when I need to, without any problems?

Sadly, you’ll won’t get voice services if you did that, Most cellular plans offer a data only SIM for iPads and special plans for Apple watches. Here in the states I pay an extra $10 for the additional SIM which would be the better solution than moving over an expensive cellphone plan SIM over. Of course different countries have different carriers and rules so you’ll need to do some local research on what it available in Australia.
