Major iPhone 4S issue. iFixit please help!

There is a large thread on the Apple Support website regarding a static noise made by the iPhone 4S.

You can easily reproduce this hardware bug:

1) Connect the 4S only to a 3G network. Do not connect it to a WIFI network.

2) Start loading a large webpage in Safari

3) Listen on the back of the 4S (near to the apple logo)

You will hear this noise, that looks to be the sound made by the 3G chip while the phone transfers data:

This is a reallly really bad hardware issue. This gets really annoying during a phone call.

Can someone at iFixit open up the 4S and locate the defective chip?

All the 4S phones make this noise. ALL OF THEM! I tried 10 phones and all of them make it. So the defect rate can be 100%. The noise may be louder on some phones and quieter on others... but all of them are affected.

Please figure out what's causing this issue. Please! Please! Please! It's driving me nuts.

Hello,

I'm French and I'm also experiencing the same issue! I sent it back 4 times to Apple Care and all the new iPhones 4S they sent me were not working as well! 5 iPhones and not even one was working...

This issue is crazy, a 800$ phone with whom you can not give a normal call... It seems we're a lot all over the world in this situation, even though apple is completely denying it...

If you guys are able to give us some clue to fix that it could be awesome!!!

@Bora: we don t have any crash issue. We have a static issue.

@Others: For some reasons that we can not explain, the static is louder in some phone than in some others. And because of that, lots of people don't really pay attention to it...

For example, some friends told me they don't have the issue. I tried their phones, and the noise wasn't loud at all but it was there! (In the conditions mentioned above).

and it work well , no crash

battery got 45h standby with 3h usage

I have the same problem, tried 3 iPhone 4s and all the same.

Apple doesn't want to admit this problem because it will ruin their reputation.

Only media can help us, the user, who left behind from Apple with crappy iPhone 4s.

I have noticed about this issue since I bought my first 4s at 11/11/2011. Since that times I have 4 units exchanged (no audio-buzzzing vibro-battery drain). I used them all but 2 of them most of time. I used them in 3G networks with internet connection always active. But I didn't heard this static during conversation. Either no at all or too small to not to disturb me even I'm trying to found it.

The only things I'd like to day, that 1 call from 20 starts with small bussing for couple of seconds and ever stops before dialtones.
