Why does the screen go from perfect to vertical lines in 3-5 mins

My Sony Bravia XBR-49x900F fades to vertical lines 3-5 mins after the tv is turned on. It’s crystal clear before the lines appear. Every other feature seems to work in the time before the lines appear apps, WiFi, streaming etc. I’m thinking it’s something that can be repaired but need a little direction before hunting down parts. Anyone know what board might be causing the issue?

This issue can be caused by bad capacitors, a bad t-con board, bad main board, or LCD panel. From the issue you are experiencing, this sounds like it may be a problem remated to bad BGA chips.

@am_lookingup post some pictures of your boards with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see. Also include a picture that shows the lines that are displayed when it warms up. Adding images to an existing question

Time to get the freeze spray out and hunt for the component that is giving your TV the issues.
