Replacement battery stopped working

I replaced a battery in my 15” MacBook Pro retina mid 2014 about 2 weeks ago. I had it closed and off charger for a little over a day and then it would not turn on. I let it charge for a day.

Computer turns on with charger attached, but not battery alone. After booting up, battery indicator says there is no battery installed. I opened computer back up to check connection. It seemed fine and I went ahead and reseated the connection. Problem remains.

Can this be explained other than a defective battery? here is the coconut battery screen shot

Let’s get a better view of things, install this gem of an app! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question

That should make it clear what the issue is.

Sadly, you’ve got a bad battery ;-{

The micro controller logic within the battery is not reporting any data to the logic board
