Will I risk any functionality if I replace my charging port by myself?

Hello, I am planning to replace the charging port on my iPhone 12 Mini independently as it won’t charge when I connect it to the lightning cable. If I do so, will my phone be “locked” and I risk losing features like Touch ID?

You can replace this part without losing any functionality. But be warned you will need to purchase a replacement from a reputable vendor or you will most likely run into problems with the phone rebooting.
