Playing only parts of songs.

I am having a problem while listening to my ipod. It keeps dropping songs. It will play a couple of seconds then switch to the next. Do I need to replace the logic board or the hard drive?

gingerotte55, at this time I am not sure if you need to replace anything. First I would do a restore through iTunes and reload all your songs. You could also try to uncheck the songs that are skipping, then sync it. Then check those songs again and sync it once more. This forces the songs to be rewritten to the iPod.

Check the iPod in diagnostic mode to make sure all your functions are properly working. Shows you how to get into diagnostic mode.
