Want to Load Big Sur 1.1 OS on MacBook Mid 2010 - Change Hard Drive?

Would like to load newest OS on my MACBOOK Released Mid 2010 to BIG SUR 1.1 The Apple Support said I can’t do it unless I upgrade the whole laptop. Would I just have to upgrade my laptop with a new hard drive with having BIG SUR 1.1 Operating System?? Any thoughts? OR has anyone done this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If you want to run MacOS Big Sur, I would recommend getting a new laptop(Any 2015 or later MacBook, 2013 or later MacBook Air, or Late 2013 or later MacBook Pro). You can get Big Sur on your machine unofficially, but it may cause slow startup(~3-5 minutes), crashes, and/or loss of data.

It’s really not worth it!

Your systems CPU is five generations behind and its memory 8 GB and Drive I/O is limited to SATA II (3.0 Gb/s)

The newer OS’s require more resources so when you try running on older systems the performance and usefulness drops!

Its just better to get a newer system which is able to support the OS.
