Laptop doesn't charging of T2 broken chip?

faced an interesting situation: the laptop got water, the laptop is working but has stopped charging. the master replaced the power controllers, but the laptop does not charge. After charging battery on another laptop - the laptop works.

Here’s the question: the master says that the problem is in the t2 chip, although as far as I know, the t2 chip does not in any way manage the battery power, but the SMC chip is engaged in this ... can you enlighten?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Your system has two power controller chips one per port (orange marked chips) and the Power manager chip (Green chip) and you still have the Thunderbolt controller chips (Purple)

So its possible the other chip is also bad, and as this was liquid damaged its possible the port assembly is damaged as well.

The T2 chip doesn’t get involved with SMC basics thats why you have a micro controller to deal with this level of housecleaning (Yellow chip).

Basically without having direct access to the system and inspecting things its just a guess on what’s wrong.

Maybe you need to bring your system back to the Master to fix it properly.
